Topaz Periandri
Owner/Trainer

I am a professional dog trainer with over eight years of hands-on training experience, supported by nearly a decade of prior rescue work. My goal is to help dogs and their people live successfully together at home and in the real world, through every stage of life.

I have worked with a wide range of dogs—from young puppies to adults with complex behavioral challenges. My experience includes private in-home training, puppy and group classes, therapy dog preparation, CGC training, board and train programs, scent work, and collaborating with local rescues to help dogs remain successfully placed in their homes.

In recent years, my primary focus has been puppy training, emphasizing confidence-building, thoughtful exposure, and teaching puppies how to make good decisions early. I believe setting puppies up correctly from the start creates stable, resilient dogs who thrive in real-world environments.

Alongside puppy work, I have extensive experience addressing behavioral challenges such as resource guarding, handler- and stranger-directed aggression, dog-to-dog aggression, leash reactivity, in-pack conflict, and sibling rivalry. I also help families prepare dogs and households for major transitions, including the arrival of a new baby.

My approach is shaped by real-world experience and mentorship by immersing myself into their work. Early challenges in rescue work led me to seek deeper understanding, ultimately reshaping my training philosophy. That foundation guides me today: always learning, always improving, and always doing what is best for the dog.

Training is more than a career for me—it is how I help dogs succeed, strengthen family relationships, and create clarity where confusion once existed.
